Southfield Dental Practice opened in 2016 and is a private practice based on the southern side of Ringwood. The practice was set up by dentist couple Christian and Caroline Gollings, who both have over 25 years of dental experience.
Southfield Dental Practice – the Story
The history – Chris and Caroline met and qualified at Bristol University in 1998. Chris worked alongside his father Bruce for several years and they ran a successful practice in Highcliffe. Southfield Dental Practice was a family venture and opened in 2016 with just Chris, Caroline, and three of their loyal staff who have all been together since the very beginning!
The present – Southfield started to build and after the first year a second treatment room was installed. The team were joined by hygienist Leianne, dentist Paul, denture specialist Steve, and then dentist Ben. Now a very experienced team, with a variety of expertise, we can offer almost all dental treatments. Some of the more complex treatments of crowns, bridges, dentures, and dental implants, are all available.
The future – The practice continues to invest in new dental equipment and technologies. With two state of the art intra-oral digital scanners, most advanced treatments can now be done without messy impressions. On the horizon are more fancy digital ideas, including scanning and milling porcelain, and the creation of dental materials on-site. We will continue to upgrade the facility and always keep it clean and welcoming.
Ethos
We carry out dentistry in a relaxed environment and ensure our patients get the most from our time which we dedicate to achieving high quality dentistry.
We believe in preserving teeth for as long as possible and suitable, and offer treatment options which are less invasive but more predictable.
We also believe in empathetic dentistry, where we assess your individual situation and offer the treatment that is applicable.
Dentists
Mr Christian Gollings is experienced in more advanced dentistry and has a special interest in Implant Dentistry. He offers dental options for replacement of missing teeth to include crowns, bridges, dentures and implants.
Mrs Caroline Gollings offers treatments for tooth whitening and white fillings. She also provides routine dentistry to include children’s dentistry, cosmetics and also the treatment of more nervous patients.
Mr Paul Gaisford also offers treatments for root fillings, white fillings, tooth whitening and also treatment of more nervous patients.
Mr Benjamin Williamson is also experienced in more advanced dental procedures. Ben has an implant qualification and specialises in digital implant placements using printed surgical guides. Ben is very competent with all the digital technologies.
Facility
We have off-road parking and level access for less abled patients. We also have a modern and relaxing waiting area and a clean and modern disabled toilet facility.
Compliance
We are registered and compliant with the regulations set by the CQC, the Care Quality Commission, and the GDC, the General Dental Council.
New Patients
We do everything possible to make your appointments as pleasant as possible. After booking your initial visit we will normally send you either an email, text or call to remind you of your appointment. We ask you to complete a new patient questionnaire which includes medical details. It is helpful if you arrive 10-15 minutes before your first visit to have time to fill this in.
